Osama Bin Laden Killed by U.S. Navy Seals Special Forces
America’s most wanted person, Osama Bin Laden, founder of the Al Qaeda muslim terrorist organization and mastermind of the September 11, 2001, airplane terrorist attacks on the World Trade twin towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., was killed by a United States Navy Seals strike team on Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Abbottabad, Pakistan, announced President Barack Obama.
Osama Bin Laden was tracked down in a mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistan by U.S. intelligence agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), since August of 2010 but was being monitored and under surveillance until the CIA confirmed Bin Laden’s presence at the high-fenced and heavily fortified mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
President Barack Obama gave his express consent to proceed with a special forces strike against Bin Laden on Thursday, April 28, 2011. President Obama acknowledged the Pakistani’s government collaboration in this mission.
Osama Bin Laden was killed in a firefight with U.S. Navy Seals and his body was recovered and taken into possession by the U.S. Navy Seals special force team for purposes of confirmation of Osama Bin Laden’s identity. DNA tests were performed on Osama Bin Laden’s corpse to positively identify his identity.
Osama Bin Laden’s corpse was buried at sea with proper muslim rites after confirmation of his identity.
Americans began celebrating the assassination of Osama Bin Laden immediately upon its announcement on Tweeter at the gates of the White House and Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C. and at Ground Zero in New York City.
President Obama gave a live televised public announcement of Osama Bin Laden’s death to Americans and the world. President Obama stated that “justice has been done.”
No Americans were injured or killed during the execution of this U.S. Navy Seals special forces strike against Osama Bin Laden.
