Ken Snyder to Umpire at Little League Baseball World Series
Eagle Passan Ken Snyder lifetime dream to umpire at the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania will become a reality during August 18-28th as he has been selected to umpire at this year’s world series.

“I am totally honored and elated to be selected as an umpire for the 2011 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania,” Snyder said. “I had always dreamed of being able to umpire at the Little League Baseball World Series,” Snyder added. Snyder has been a volunteer umpire with Little League Baseball for over 25 years. He started umpiring in the Eagle Pass American Little League Baseball in Fort Duncan Park in downtown Eagle Pass. He also umpired for many years at the Eagle Pass National Little League Baseball in Chittim Park before it closed down. He has continued umpiring at the Eagle Pass American Little League.
Snyder is highly respected and regarded throughout the United States as an outstanding umpire with integrity and fairness. He has a beautiful personality and friendly temperament with the players and coaches on the field. He also is a leader and trainer of Little League Baseball Umpires serving as Texas District 35 Umpire Consultant since its founding. Little League Umpires are volunteers and do not receive compensation for their services except for travel expenses during tournament play.
Snyder is the pastor of the Templo Puerta del Cielo in Pueblo Nuevo Subdivision in Eagle Pass when not umpiring. He is married to Yolanda Snyder and they have two children, Sony Snyder and Rosario Sifuentes. He thanks the Lord and his family for allowing him to umpire for over 25 years and now being selected to umpire in this summer’s Little League Baseball World Series.

The road to being selected as a Little League Baseball World Series Umpire is long and dedicated. An umpire must begin in his or her local Little League, participate in one’s District Little League tournament, progress to umpire in one’s Sectional, State, and Regional tournaments.
