Lone gunman inside parked truck on 2200 San Juan Drive attempting suicide

An armed male subject with a handgun is in a standoff with the Eagle Pass Police Department on 2200 San Juan Drive in Eagle Pass. The armed male is threatening to commit suicide but police are speaking to the subject by cell phone. The male subject requested to speak with his mother and another family member. This incident started at approximately 1:00pm and is ongoing as police are trying to convince the armed man from not hurting himself or commit suicide.
