Maverick County Commissioner Cesar Flores resigns effective March 15th

Maverick County Commissioner of Precinct 4, Cesar Flores, tendered and read a letter of resignation of his elected county commissioner post at a Maverick County Commissioners Court meeting on Thursday, January 31, 2013, effective March 15th, thanking the citizens of Maverick County for their support of him during his 14 year tenure as County Commissioner of Precinct 4.
Maverick County Judge David Saucedo accepted County Commissioner Cesar Flores’ letter and offer of resignation effective March 15th.
County Commissioner Cesar Flores was indicted by a federal grand jury in Del Rio, Texas, charging him with five counts of receiving bribes on January 16, 2013, and is out on bond. An indictment is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
