County Commissioner Daniela Aleman terminates Gil Ramos

Newly appointed temporary County Commissioner Daniela Aleman of Precinct Two is busy working overseeing the best interests of Precinct Two residents as she terminated the employment services of Gil Ramos, Parks and Recreation Coordinator of Precinct Two, last week during her very first week on the job.

County Commissioner Daniela Aleman reviewed the budget of Precinct Two and the needs of Precinct Two residents determining it was the best interests to make budgetary adjustments to satisfy the needs of Precinct Two projects, particularly road and bridge projects.

Precinct Two is the largest of the four precincts in Maverick County with many colonias and rural county roads requiring constant road and bridge repairs and paving. Precinct Two covers most of southern Maverick County.

Gil Ramos had served as Parks and Recreation Coordinator of Precinct Two for several years under former County Commissioner of Precinct Two, Rudy Heredia, who is currently under indictment in two separate federal cases in the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, and held without bond at the Val Verde County Detention Center-GEO in Del Rio, Texas pending trial of both cases.
