The Republican Party has launched an all-out attack against defunding and defeating the United States Supreme Court-approved Affordable Care Act of 2010 passed by the then Democratic Party-controlled U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate and signed into law by President Barack Obama providing over 30 million uninsured, elderly, poor, and working class Americans with health care insurance coverage for the first time. The Republican Party flag-bearers of this unconscionable, discriminatory, and spiteful attack against their very own American citizens are none other than Tea Party Republicans Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, and Paul Rand of Kentucky among many other Republican elected-officials.
The most ironic and contradictory point about this Republican Party-led attack against the Affordable Care Act of 2010 is that the universal health-care law for the uninsured, eldlerly, poor, working class, and persons with pre-existing conditions is a Republican idea, program, and legislation originally proposed by Republicans and modeled after the Republican-led State of Massachusetts health care law approved by former Republican Governor and Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Today, Republicans want to deny and defeat over 30 million Americans who stand to benefit from the Affordable Care Act of 2010 just because they have so much spite and deep differences of opinion with President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz is so angry and spiteful towards President Obama that he told an audience at the Family Leadership Conference in Ames, Iowa that he and the Republican Party are willing to SHUTDOWN the American Government by refusing to the fund the federal government after September 30, 2013 in an attempt to defeat the Affordable Care Act of 2010 and stop uninsured Americans from enrolling with state or federal health care insurance exchanges effective October 1st.
Over 30 million Americans who are poor, elderly, senior citizens, working class, and with pre-existing conditions and are both Republicans and Democrats will be hurt the most if the Republican Party succeeds in shutting down funding of the federal government out of spite and purely self-motivated political interests. In addition, every American citizen who receives a federal check such as U.S. Armed Forces, federal employees, social security, retirement, medicare, medicaid, and so on stand to not get paid if the Republicans’ crazy and spiteful idea were to succeed. The Republican Party has totally forgotten about their very own American citizens just to make a political point. The Republican Party has lost touch with the very same Americans that they are supposed to serve and represent. The Republican Party does not care that they are going to hurt over 30 million Americans who need health care insurance and over 50 million Americans who directly or indirectly depend upon a federal government check to live month by month and receive their basic health care services.
The solution then fellow Americans is very simple: vote every Republican Senator, Congressman/woman, state and local Republican elected official out of office at our next state and federal elections and elect Americans who genuinely care and represent the people of the United States of America and their basic health care services and livelihood. This is not about Republicans versus Democrats, but rather about respecting the dignity and value of every fellow American citizen and the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Enough is enough! The 2014 elections are only 15 months away.
