Maverick County Candles for Life Walk-a-thon is Sunday, October 21st

The Maverick County Candles for Life Walk-a-thon is on Sunday, October 21, 2014, at 4 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Eagle Field on Del Rio Boulevard in Eagle Pass, Texas, celebrating Maverick County’s cancer survivors and raising funds to assist local cancer patients with some of their expenses. The Candles for Life Walk-a-thon is a family event and one of the most worthy charitable events in Maverick County.
The public is invited to attend the 2014 Candles for Life Walk-a-thon on Sunday, October 21st. Festivities begin at 4 P.M. at Eagle Field and the lighting of the Luminarias (candles) will be at dusk while the annual Walk-a-thon commences at 6 P.M.
There will be many local cancer survivors and their families participating in this year’s Candles for Life Walk-a-thon.
There will also be food and refreshment booths available for participants.
The community of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico are cordially invited to attend the annual Candles for Life Walk-a-thon on Sunday, October 21st, at 4 P.M.
