Eagle Pass Teen reported missing found dead in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico

A 16 year old Eagle Pass, Texas teenager, Lorenzo Alexander, and student at Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School was first reported missing on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico law enforcement authorities was found dead with at least two bullet wounds to his body on Friday, January 23rd, by Mexican authorities on the side of a road from Piedras Negras, Coahuila to El Moral, Coahuila, Mexico.
The teen’s father, Lorenzo Menera Sierra, originally reported his son missing to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico law enforcement authorities on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, after sending him to purchase some tacos at a Piedras Negras, Coahuila restaurant near their home in Piedras Negras.
The teen, Lorenzo Alexander, was last seen alive on Wednesday, January 21st, driving the family’s 2014 White Nissan Versa automobile in Piedras Negras, Coahuila while running a family errand. Shortly thereafter, the young teen never returned to his family’s home in Piedras Negras, causing his family to report him missing.
The teen’s lifeless body and vehicle were found two days later on Friday, January 23rd, by Mexican law enforcement authorities. The teen’s body was found by the side of a road leading to El Moral, Coahuila, near the Open Surface Coal Mine known as Tajo Norte or Tajo Zacatoza in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, opposite of Eagle Pass, Texas on the U.S.-Mexico border. The 2014 Nissan Versa automobile was found in a different location in the Los Argentinas Subdivision in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.
The teen’s family have reported the homicide of their young son to the United States Consulate Office in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and have requested that an autopsy be done by American medical examiners and an investigation of their son’s homicide be conducted.
The Mexican Attorney General’s Office (Procuraduria General de la Republica-PGR) is investigating the homicide of the young Lorenzo Alexander in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

Friends, family members, and former classmates and teachers of the young Lorenzo Alexander at C.C. Winn High School mourn the loss of his life and the tragic incident afflicting U.S. citizens in Mexico.
The U.S. Department of State and its U.S. Consulate Office in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico have issued U.S. citizens travel warnings and advisories to Mexico.
