Former Lady Eagles participating at NCAA Division II Softball College World Series

Former Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles and current St. Mary’s University Lady Rattlers softball players Alex Rodriguez and Keanna Cisneros are participating in the 2015 NCAA Division II Softball College World Series in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium during May 21-25, 2015.
Alex Rodriguez is a senior and four year letterman for the St. Mary’s University Lady Rattlers while Keanna Cisneros is a sophomore utility player.
The Lady Rattlers swept Tarleton State University last week at the Super Regional Tournament to earn a berth in the NCAA Division II Softball College World Series. Rodriguez blasted a two-run homerun in the second and clinching game against Tarleton State University TexAnns to help the Lady Rattlers win the Super Regional and advance to the College World Series.
The St. Mary’s University Lady Rattlers will face Shorter University on Thursday, May 21st, at 12 Noon to open their College World Series play in the double elimination tournament.
The eight-team field at the 2015 NCAA Division II Softball College World Series include St. Mary’s University, Shorter University, Indianapolis University, North Georgia State University, California University of Pennsylvania, Dixie State University, Adelphi University, and Central Missouri State University.
