Back to School Fair is Thursday, July 30th

The Ninth Annual Back to School Health and Social Services Fair will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2013, from 10:A.M. to 1 P.M. at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade, located at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive, in Eagle Pass, Texas, offering free health screenings, school supplies, shoes, and valuable information regarding local health and social programs available in the community.
New this year at the School Fair are free UIL sports physicals to local student-athletes participating in both junior high and high school sports, free shoes, school supplies, back packs, oral dental screenings, health screenings, games, fun, and refreshments.
One of the highlights of the annual Back to School Health Fair is State Senator Carlos I. Uresti’s generous donation of school back packs to local students. Senator Uresti’s free back packs are available on a first come, first served basis.
Many local health and social services and agencies will be present to provide parents and students with many free health screenings and valuable information.
Health Fair coordinator, Diana L. Sanchez, stated that the school supplies raised during the Stuff the Bus Drive event will be donated to local school children who attend the Back to School Health Fair on Thursday, July 30th. Sanchez stated that admission is free and the Back to School Health Fair is open to the entire community. Parents are encouraged to attend and bring their children with them.
The public is invited to attend and admission is free. The school fair will be held at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive.
