Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
Wednesday, November 25, 2015, 9:05am: An officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a residence on Point Loma Drive in regards to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The investigating officer obtained information on a blue 1997 GMC pickup which had been taken without the owner’s effective consent from the residential property. The vehicle was entered into the TCIC / NCIC computer system as stolen. Eagle Pass Police Department was notified by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday November 29, 2015 of the reported vehicle being located in north Maverick County. The vehicle was recovered and the case is currently under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department Auto Theft Division.
Saturday, November 28, 2015, 4:42am: An officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to the Walmart store in regards to theft under $100.00. The investigating officer detained a male juvenile who during processing was discovered to be in possession of several drug paraphernalia items as well as 7.77 grams of marijuana. The male juvenile was cited for the theft under $100.00 and the charge of possession of marijuana will be forwarded to the Maverick County Juvenile Probation Department.
Saturday, November 28, 2015, 4:44pm: Officers assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a residence on Nueces Street in regards to a disturbance. Investigating officers were informed of a female who barged into a residence and allegedly began to assault the reporting female complainant. Officers were informed the female aggressor had left the residence and was actually in another residence next door. Continuing the investigation officer located the alleged female aggressor who was asked to leave the second residence by the owner and upon doing so became uncooperative, belligerent and combative towards officer to the point of striking an officer who was attempting to escort her out of the residence. The female identified as 43 year old Ruby Sanwald Serna was arrested and during her arrest kicked another officer several times. The charge of assault on a public servant was added to the charge burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit a felony. Sanwald was presented before a magistrate and formally charge and subsequently remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $30,000 bond.

- 1 wallet and 2 purses were also reported as stolen from department stores and their adjacent parking area.
