City of Eagle Pass Fire Fighters and Police Officers Collective Bargaining Rights Election Early Voting Period Underway

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas Fire Fighters and Police Officers Collective Bargaining Rights Election has commenced its Early Voting Period on April 25, 2016 and run through May 3, 2016 at the City of Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center, located at Fort Duncan Park in downtown Eagle Pass.
The Early Voting Period Poll at the Multi-Purpose Center is open during April 25-May 3, 2016 from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. All Eagle Pass registered voters are encouraged to exercise their democratic right to vote in this special election.
Election Day is Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the City’s Multi-Purpose Center from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M.
The Collective Bargaining Election pits the Eagle Pass Fire Fighters and Police Officers and their families against the Eagle Pass City Council, which approved a resolution against collective bargaining on March 22, 2016, for fairness in job promotions and retention and elimination of political influence on the hiring and promotion process of public safety workers.
The City’s Fire Fighters and Police Officers Collective Bargaining Election is hotly contested and expected to draw registered City of Eagle Pass voters cast their ballots either for or against collective bargaining rights for the City’s finest employees, the Fire Fighters and Police Officers.
