Dimmit County Man Found Guilty of Injury to a Child

District Attorney Roberto Serna reported that on May 26, 2016, a Dimmit County jury found Gerald De Leon, Jr., guilty of Injury to a Child. D.A. Serna would like to thank Assistant District Attorneys Alberto Rodriguez and Robert Lee Little, and District Attorney Investigators Erasmo Ramon and Richard Guzman for their hard work in the preparation of the case and presenting the case to the jury. D.A. Serna would also like to thank the Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Ranger Randy Garcia for their efforts in the investigation of the case. Sentencing is to be held before the judge, who will assess punishment on June 28, 2016. D.A. Serna pledges to the public that he and his office will continue to ensure the safety and protection of the public by successfully prosecute crimes against children and other felony offenses in Dimmit, Maverick, and Zavala Counties.
