Four Persons of Interest arrested in Murder of Daniel Torres in Eagle Pass, Texas

The Eagle Pass Police Department announced that four persons of interest have been arrested in their investigation of the murder of Daniel Torres, age 34, on Friday, April 29, 2016, at approximately 2:17 A.M. at the 300 Block of Los Angeles Drive in the Los Angeles Heights Public Housing Unit of the Eagle Pass Housing Authority.
The four persons of interest arrested include Justin Javier Garza, age 22, Elizabeth Audry Sanchez, age 17, Luis Felipe Sanchez, age unknown, and Jorge Alberto Miranda, age 28, all of Eagle Pass, Texas.
Justin Javier Garza and Elizabeth Audry Sanchez were magistrated by a judge and had their bonds set at $1 Million each. It is expected that Luis Sanchez and Jorge Alberto Miranda may face a similar bond amount when magistrated.
This is the second murder case within the Eagle Pass Housing Authority during the past six months. On December 24, 2015, another murder occurred in the Eagle Pass Housing Authority’s Loma De La Cruz Public Housing Unit when allegedly Juan E. Rodriguez Ruiz, age 51, shot and killed his wife, Maria Pesina Rodriguez, age 42, at 300 Church Street in Eagle Pass, Texas.
The Eagle Pass Police Department Criminal Detective Division, Texas Rangers, and Maverick County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the murder case of Daniel Torres.
