Two Eagle Pass, TX Women arrested for fraudulently crossing undocumented children

United States Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection arrested two women from Eagle Pass, Texas, ages 34 and 37, for fraudulently crossing three undocumented children into the United States through Eagle Pass, Texas on July 21, 2016.
The two women were detained and transported to Del Rio, Texas to appear before a United States Magistrate Judge for an initial appearance regarding federal charges filed against them. The children were turned over to the Mexican Consulate Office.
The women were detained at the Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 2 with fraudulent birth certificates and other documents claiming the three undocumented children as their own while attempting to cross the children into the United States.
The case is under investigation by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
