C. C. Winn Mavericks Open 2016 Football Season versus Crystal City Javelinas

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks open the 2016 Texas High School Football season under the leadership of Head Coach Eric Villasenor this Friday, August 26, 2016 at 7:30 P.M. in a non-district game versus the Crystal City High School Javelinas at the Crystal City Independent School District Football Stadium.
The Mavericks Offense will showcase standout Julio Ruiz as Quarterback, Omar Hinojosa as Runnin Back, Ruben Esquivel and Gilbert Rodriguez as Wide Receivers, Alfonso Cardona as Slot Back, standout Jose Rodriguez as Tight End, Joey Salazar and Jaime Fuentes as Guards, Mario Elizondo and Emmanuel Orta as Tackles, and Luz Garcia as Center.
The Mavericks Offense is under the direction of Offensive Coordinator Heriberto Roiz, Charlie Soto as Co-Special Teams Coordinator and Running Backs Coach, Fred Paniagua and Isaac Garcia as Wide Recievers Coaches, and Domingo Lopez as Offensive Line Coach.
The Mavericks Defense will feature standout Rene Auces, Raul Gomez, Rey Vasquez, and Jesus Flores as Safeties, Alex De Jesus and Alonso Vallejo as Corner Backs, Albert Duran, Ernesto Villasenor, and Rolando Sanchez as Linebackers, Jacob Guerra, Victor Olguin, and Pablo De Leon as Defensive Ends, Carlos Tijerina and Enrique Garza as Defensive Tackles, Julio Ruiz as Punter, and Norberto Barragan as Place Kicker.
The Mavericks Defense is under the tutelage of Co-Defensive Coordinators Rene Ramirez and Saul Salas, J.J. Iracheta as Co-Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive LIne Coach, Sergio Esquivel as Defensive Ends Coach, Ricardo Hoffman as Defensive Backs Coach, and Assistant Coaches Paulo Valero, Tony Martinez, and Patrick Sanchez.
The visiting Crystal City Javelinas are under the direction of Head Coach David Lopez and are coming back with a state playoff appearance in Bi-District after a successful 8-3 season.
