Eagle Pass Police Department Seizes Cocaine, $290,000 Cash; Arrest Three Women
(Press Release) Thursday, October 19, 2016, 7:08 PM: An officer of the Eagle Pass Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a white 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck for a traffic violation within the 100 block of North Adams Street. During the course of the traffic stop the officer was granted consent to search the vehicle. A department K-9 officer was summoned and conducted an interior search in which the K-9 alerted to the presence of a narcotic odor. Officers searched the vehicle and discovered over two (2) kilos of packaged cocaine along with approximately $290,000.00 in U.S. currency. Three (3) female adults were arrested at the scene. This case is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department and the Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division.
