C. C. Winn Mavericks battle Richmond Foster Falcons in 5A Regional Semi-Finals Football Championship on Friday, November 25th

The history-making Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Thundering Mavericks (10-2) will battle undefeated Richmond Foster High School Falcons (12-0) in the third round of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 5A Region IV, Division I, football playoffs known as the Regional Semi-Finals Championship on Friday, November 25, 2016, at 6 P.M. at the San Antonio Northeast Independent School District’s Comalander Stadium at Blossom Athletic Center, located at 12002 Jones Maltsberger Drive, in San Antonio, Texas, seeking to add to the school’s first-ever District Co-Championship, Bi-District Championship, and Area Championships.
The Richmond Foster Falcons will definitely be the best team that the C. C. Winn Mavericks have faced all year and will require that they play a turnover free and no penalty game if they are to defeat the speedy and bigger size Falcons, which the Mavericks are accustomed to doing as they have already stampeded over several larger-sized teams enroute to the Regional Semi-Finals Championship.
The stampeding Mavericks Offense will rely on standout Quarterback Julio Ruiz and Running Backs Danny Rios and Omar Hinojosa, Wide Receivers Ruben Esquivel and Alonso Cardona, Tight End Jose Rodriguez, tailback Carlos Tijerina, and the huge offensive line to score against the mighty Foster Falcons.
The thunder and lightning Mavericks Defense will be given the enviable task of shutting down the potent Falcons balanced running and passing offensive attack. The Mavericks Defense will rely on standout Safety Rene Auces, Defensive Linemen Carlos Tijerina and Jacob Guerra, Linebackers Ernesto Villasenor and Alberto Duran, and Defensive Backs Rey Vasquez and Raul Gomez to contain the explosive Falcons offense.
The Richmond Foster Falcons on offense are led by their standout Quarterback Alex Ramart who has passed for 2,717 yards and thrown for 36 touchdowns, Running Backs Quinton Oliver who has rushed for 933 yards with 12 touchdowns and Alec Harris who has rushed for 485 yards with 6 touchdowns, and Wide Receivers Ceedee Lamb who has caught 79 passes for 1,660 yards with 26 touchdowns and Chandler Speights who has caught 69 passes for 1,074 yards with 13 touchdowns.
On defense, the Richmond Foster Falcons will count on Defensive Backs Chandler Speights, Lane Eldridge, Christian Barrillas, and Christopher Young, Defensive End Solomon Ibeabuchi, and Linebackers Malik McLemore and Derek Nicholas.
C. C. Winn Mavericks Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor stated that the Mavericks have practiced and played hard throughout the season and will be ready to battle the Richmond Foster Falcons this Friday, November 25th.
Coach Villasenor added that every Maverick County football aficionado should attend the Mavericks Regional Semi-Finals Championship game this Friday, November 25th, in San Antonio to cheer and support the thundering Mavs on to victory over the Richmond Foster Falcons.
