C.C. Winn Mavericks Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor named Co-Coach of the Year in District 29-5A

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor has been named the 2016 District 29-5A Co-Coach of the Year together with Floresville High School Tigers Head Football Coach Andrew Rohrs by all of the District Head Football Coaches.
Villasenor led the rising and surging C.C. Winn Mavericks to a historic 2016 Football Season garnering the District 29-5A Co-Championship together with the Floresville Tigers, the Bi-District Championship, Area Championship, and Regional Semi-Finalists, all a first in school history.
In addition, Villasenor guided the thundering Mavericks to the school’s best football season record of 10-3.
Villasenor is in his fourth year as Head Football Coach of the C. C. Winn Mavericks as he was hired in February of 2013.
Coach Villasenor thanks his Mavericks football players who believed in and executed his Total Process System (TTP) during the past four years at C. C. Winn that led to this year’s outstanding results, his dedicated Assistant Coaches, the C. C. Winn High School students, administration, and staff, the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent, the community, and his lovely wife, Celia, and son, Matthew for their support and understanding during all these years.
Villasenor dedicated the historic 2016 C. C. Winn Mavericks Football season to the entire community of Eagle Pass and Maverick County, the Eagle Pass Independent School District, Assistant Coaches, and to all his past, present, and future football players who have made this season possible.
This is Villasenor’s first Coach of the Year honors during his four years as Head Football Coach. He has been a coach for 15 years overall.
