Bagley once was appointed as the Maverick County Attorney by Maverick County Commissioners Court and subsequently lost his election to a full four year term to current Maverick County Attorney Ricardo Ramos.
Bagley practiced law in Eagle Pass for 15 years before relocating to Del Rio. He started at a local law firm as a Legal Assistant and later went on to law school to earn his Juris Doctor degree. He opened his own law offices and enjoyed a successful law practice. He enjoyed his 15 years working as an attorney in Eagle Pass and Maverick County.
Bagley relocated his law office to Del Rio approximately 11 years ago and became a well-known member of that community.
Bagley is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1984. He subsequently earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Legal Assistant Studies from his alma mater in 1985. After working one year with an Eagle Pass law office, Bagley enrolled and graduated with a law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas in 1989. He has been a licensed Texas attorney since 1990.
Bagley in an exclusive interview with the Eagle Pass Business Journal stated that he “looks forward and is excited to representing the citizens of Val Verde, Kinney, and Terrell Counties as their new 63rd Judicial District Attorney and enforcing the laws of the State of Texas in a fair and legal manner.”
