Eagle Pass Mayor and City Council Election Kicks-Off April 24th with Early Voting

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas Election for Mayor and two City Council positions kicks-off on Monday, April 24, 2017, through May 2nd for Early Voting and on Saturday, May 6th, as Regular Election Day at the Multi-Purpose Center on Adams Street in downtown Eagle Pass.
Vying for Mayor are incumbent Ramsey English Cantu and challenger Hector Munoz-Mijares. Cantu seeks re-election while veteran news reporter and entrepreneur Munoz-Mijares seeks to unseat Cantu.
For City Council Position No. 2, incumbent Rudy Villalpando seeks re-election while having no opponent. Villalpando will easily win re-election.
For City Council Position No. 4, incumbent Luis E. Sifuentes seeks re-election against challenger Romeo Fernandez who seeks to bring new leadership to City Hall.
Early Voting extended hours will be held on Monday, April 24th, and May 1st from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Center.
Regular Election Day, Saturday, May 6th, will have the polling place open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Center.
All City of Eagle Pass registered voters are encouraged to exercise their right to vote and participate in the City Council election.
