Eagle Pass Business & Economic Development Chairman Named
(Eagle Pass, TX- June 27, 2017) EMC Strategy Group, LLC and the City of Eagle Pass, TX are pleased to announce the selection of the Business & Economic Development Committee Chairman.
Mr. Morris Libson, Jr. of Eagle Pass, TX has been selected by city manager Art Rodriguez to serve as the Committee’s chairman.
Mr. Libson was born and raised in the City of Eagle Pass, TX and graduated from Eagle Pass High School. He lived outside of Eagle Pass for four years while receiving his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University-College Station, TX, where he served as a distinguished member of the Corps of Cadets as an Executive Officer Cadet Major. Mr. Lisbon returned to his home city of Eagle Pass upon graduation.
Mr. Libson has an impressive career history as current President/Manager of MVN Enterprises LLC in Eagle Pass, TX and former Director of Engineering at Salant Corporation in Piedras Negras Coahuila.
Mr. Libson’s passion for the City of Eagle Pass and it’s residents makes him the ideal candidate to lead the Business & Economic Development Committee. He has volunteered his time to serve as; President of the Eagle Pass Youth Baseball-Softball Association Boys’ Baseball Division sponsors of Babe Ruth Cal Ripkin Division Ages 5-12, President of the Eagle Pass Optimist Babe Ruth League Ages 13-18, twice selected Citizen of the Year by the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce, Color Analyst for Eagle Pass Eagles Football and Baseball Radio, broadcasts for KINL radio station, and Ex-Member of the City of Eagle Pass Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Appointed by the City Council of the City of Eagle Pass and the Commissioners’ Court of Maverick County as “Ambassador of Good Will” and selected as “Mr. Friendship” by the International Good Neighbors Council of Eagle Pass-Piedras Negras.
“I am very excited and honored to serve as Committee Chairman for the new Eagle Pass Business & Economic Development Initiative,” says Morris Libson. “Working together through the executive committee to form collaborative efforts is going to be the key to our success to grow the local economic conditions of Eagle Pass and the region,” adds Libson.
