2017 Eagle Pass C.C. Winn Mavericks Football Schedule Announced

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor announced the 2017 football schedule of the defending District 29-5A Co-Champion Mavericks.
The C. C. Winn Mavericks enjoyed their best football season last year (2016) by winning the District 29-5A Co-Championship, Bi-District Championship, Area Championship, and Regional Semi-Finalist. The Mavericks will seek to build on their 2016 success and improve during the 2017 season.
C. C. Winn Mavericks football players start practicing on Monday, August 7, 2017 for the 2017 Football Season.
The thundering C. C. Winn Mavericks will kick-off the 2017 Football Season with a pair of scrimmages, including one on Friday, August 18th, against the Carrizo Springs High School Wildcats at 7 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium and another on Friday, August 25th, against the Laredo United South High School Panthers at 7 P.M. at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Mavericks officially open the 2017 Texas High School Football Season on Friday, September 1st, against the Crystal City High School Javelinas in a non-district game at 7:30 P.M. at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium. This opening season game has been designated as Parents Night for the Mavericks.
On Friday, September 8th, the Mavericks will travel to the Gateway City of Laredo, Texas to battle the Laredo LBJ High School Wolves in a non-district game at 7:30 P.M. at Laredo United ISD Student Activity Complex.
On Friday, September 15th, the Mavericks will face their cross-town rival Eagle Pass High School Eagles in the 12th Annual fictional City Championship and Menudo Bowl in a non-district game at 7:30 P.M. at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Mavericks will be the visiting team.
On Friday, September 22nd, the Mavericks will travel to the Rio Grande Valley to clash with the Mission High School Eagles in a non-district game at 7:30 P.M. at Tom Landry Football Stadium in Mission, Texas.
On Friday, September 29th, the Mavericks will travel to the Alamo City to battle the San Antonio Central Catholic Preparatory Academy Buttons in a non-district game at 7:30 P.M. in San Antonio, Texas.
The Mavericks will be open the week of October 2-6, 2017 before commencing District 29-5A play.
On Thursday, October 12th, the Mavericks open District 29-5A action against the San Antonio McCollum High School Cowboys at 7:00 P.M. at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
On Friday, October 20th, the Mavericks face the San Antonio Southside High School Cardinals in a key District 29-5A game at 7:30 P.M. at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium. This game has been designated as the Mavericks Homecoming.
On Friday, October 27th, the Mavericks battle the San Antonio Harlandale High School Indians in a pivotal District 29-5A game at 7:30 P.M. at the Harlandale ISD Frank Tejeda Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.
On Friday, November 3rd, the Mavericks tangle with defending District 29-5A Co-Champion Floresville High School Tigers in a key district game at 7:30 P.M. at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
On Friday, November 10th, the Mavericks travel to the Honey Bowl to clash with the Uvalde High School Coyotes in a salient District 29-5A game at 7:30 P.M. at Uvalde, Texas in the final regular season game.
