Former City of Eagle Pass, Texas City Manager Hector Chavez, Sr. was sentenced to 42 months in federal prison for making a false statement to an FBI Agent with credit for time served and three years of community supervision by United States District Judge Alia Moses of the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, in Del Rio, Texas on Monday, August 21, 2017.
Chavez has been detained since April 15, 2016.
Chavez was represented by Eagle Pass, Texas attorney Edgar Juarez.
