Mexican Consulate Ismael Naveja Macias Invites Public To Celebrate The 207th Anniversary of Mexico’s Independence Day

Mexican Consulate Ismael Naveja Macias invites all Maverick County citizens to accompany him in the celebration of the 207th Anniversary of Mexico’s Independence Day during two festivities scheduled in Eagle Pass, Texas, one on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 5 P.M.-7 P.M. at IBC Bank, 2395 E. Main Street, as “A Toast to Mexico’s Independence,” and another the “Grito de Independencia” on Friday, September 15, 2017, at San Juan Plaza in downtown Eagle Pass featuring a Mexican Cultural and Musical Program at 6 P.M. with a Mariachi Band, Ballet Folklorico Dance Troupe, and several recognized Mexican singers followed by the “Grito de Independencia” at 8:30 P.M. with Mexican Consulate Ismael Naveja Macias and Mayor Ramsey English Cantu.
The traditional “Grito de Independencia” (Declaration of Independence) Celebration is a beautiful event filled with classic Mexican Mariachi Music, Ballet Folklorico, and singers for the cultural entertainment of the Eagle Pass and Maverick County residents in honor of the 207th Anniversary of Mexico’s Independence Day, September 16th, but celebrated on Friday, September 15th at San Juan Plaza located at the intersection of Madison & Ferry Streets during 6 P.M. through 8:30 P.M.
Admission to both scheduled activities is free, announced Mexican Consulate Ismael Naveja Macias.
The public is cordially invited to attend both activities.
