Eagle Pass City Council Appoints Angie Rodriguez to International Bridge System Board of Trustees

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas City Council unanimously approved the appointment of longtime Eagle Pass resident and downtown retail merchant Angie Rodriguez to the Eagle Pass International Bridge System Board of Trustees at a special meeting held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
The vacancy on the Eagle Pass International Bridge System was created by Trustee Jesus Casas’ term expiration on the Board of Trustees. There are five Board of Trustees on the Eagle Pass International Bridge System, including Mayor Ramsey English Cantu. Each City Council member is allowed by a gentleman’s agreement among the City Council to recommend the appointment of one Eagle Pass International Bridge Board of Trustee member.
City Councilman Luis E. Sifuentes recommended Angie Rodriguez be appointed to fill the vacancy on the Eagle Pass International Bridge Board of Trustees for a term of four years, which shall expire on June 30, 2021. Rodriguez is eligible to serve up to two four year terms on the Eagle Pass International Bridge System Board of Trustees.
