The Webelos of Boy Scout Pack 274 in Eagle Pass recently attended the Earth from Space exhibit set up at the Sul Ross Rio Grande College campus.
Scouts, their parents, and siblings toured the 20-poster display of satellite images from around the world that is printed in both English and Spanish. Webelos in attendance included David Arreola, Joey Ballesteros, Elijah Capetillo, Gerardo Rodriguez, Patricio Sierra, and Gael Valdes.
The exhibit moves to the RGC Del Rio site Fri., Nov. 17, and will remain there until Fri., Dec. 15. It is free and open to the public from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays. If your group is interested in a special showing, please contact Laura Nelson at 830.279.3040 or via email at lnelson@sulross.edu.
The poster exhibition was born of the popular and award-winning museum exhibition of the same title that premiered November 2006 at the National Air and Space Museum. In 2007, “Earth from Space” won a U.S. Geological Survey communications award for science content.
