Eagle Pass Winn Mavericks fall to Uvalde Coyotes 27-6 in District 29-5A Football League Play

The thundering Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks fell to the Uvalde High School Coyotes in the final game of the regular season 27 to 6 in District 29-5A League play on Friday, November 10, 2017, in Uvalde, Texas.
The Mavericks now are 3-7 overall in the season and 2-3 in District 29-5A standings, finishing in fourth place.
As a result of the Mavericks fourth place finish in District 29-5A, the Mavericks earned a berth in the 2017 U.I.L. Region IV, 5A-Division I post-season state playoffs.
Mavericks Head Coach Eric Villasenor announced that the Mavericks will face District 30-5A South Division Champion Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial High School Eagles (9-1, 4-0) for the Bi-District Championship on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 7:30 P.M. at the Schertz-Cibolo Independent School District Lenhoff Stadium in Schertz, Texas.
