Breaking News! Austin, Texas Package Bomb Suspect Dead After Blowing Himself Up as Police Closed-In On Him

The City of Austin, Texas Acting Police Chief Brian Manley reported that the Austin Package Bomb Suspect (Bomber) is dead after blowing himself up as the Austin Police Departmetn, FBI, and ATF Officers closed-in on him on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Round Rock, Texas at a hotel parking lot after a massive force of over 500 federal agents and hundreds of Austin Police Officers conducted an intense investigation of the six package bombs detonated in Austin and Schertz, Texas.
Acting Police Chief identified the Package Bomb Suspect (Bomber) as a 24 year old white male.
The package bomb suspect blew himself up with an explosive device inside his automobile as SWAT closed-in on him to arrest him at a hotel parking lot in Round Rock, Texas next to Interstate 35 in Williamson County.
The package bomb suspect caused the death of a 17 year old juvenile male and a 39 year old adult male as well as critically injured four persons, including a 75 year old woman.
Law Enforcement Agents identified several leads but closed-in on the suspect during the past 48 hours as two package bombs were deposited into a FedEx Retail Store in Sunset Valley near Southeast Austin and one of the package bombs exploded at a Schertz, Texas FedEx distribution center while another package bomb failed to detonate and was recovered by agents.
Austin Acting Police Chief Brian Manley warned area residents to be vigilant because it is unknown where the package bomber had been during the past 24 hours before his death and if he had placed any other package bombs within the area.
Law Enforcement Agents are also investigating if there are any other accomplices of the package bomb suspect or whether he acted alone.
The motives of the bomber are unknown to police at the moment.
