Eagle Pass Author to Visit Winn High School

(PRESS RELEASE) Ms. Guadalupe Garcia McCall, award winning author of the novel, Under the Mesquite, will be visiting CC Winn High School on April 27th at 2:50 pm. Ms. McCall is an Eagle Pass High School graduate whose novel is set in Eagle Pass and details the obstacles she faces as a high school student whose mother is diagnosed with cancer. Ms. McCall will discuss her semi-autobiographical novel and her experiences growing up in Eagle Pass with students and staff during her visit. Following the presentation in the auditorium at 2:50 and book signing, Ms. McCall will make her way to the library for a short meet and greet. The novel is especially touching, and Winn High School is very excited about her visit.
