Eagle Pass Man Dies From Gunshot Wound in the Chest, Case Under Investigation

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department reports an Eagle Pass man, Oscar Guajardo, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room by Maverick CountyJustice of the Peace Precinct 3A-B David Castaneda due to a gunshot wound in his chest.
The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department received a telephone call regarding a male individual with a gunshot wound in his chest at Alvin Street in Las Quintas Subdivision in southern Eagle Pass, Texas.
Guajardo was rushed to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for medical treatment, but succumb to the serious injury on his chest due to a gunshot wound.
It is unknown as of press time if Guajardo’s Chest gunshot wound was self-afflicted or whether someone shot him. The case is under investigation by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department Detective Division.
