Eagle Pass Eagles Rey Rey Mendoza and Dee Andre Torres Named to 2018 THSBCA 6A All-State Baseball Team

The accolades for the 2018 Eagle Pass High School Eagles Baseball Team members continue to grow as two Eagles, Rey Rey Mendoza and Dee Andre Torres, were named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association (THSBCA) 6A All-State Team, announced Eagles Head Baseball Coach Reynol Mendoza.
Eagles standout junior pitcher and outfielder Rey Rey Mendoza was named to the 2018 THSBCA 6A All-State First Team as an Outfielder. Mendoza was earlier named the 2018 District 29-6A Baseball Most Valuable Player by the District Head Coaches. To be named to the 2018 THSBCA 6A’s All-State First Team is a great and prestigious honor for Mendoza who is currently playing travel baseball during the summer.
Eagles standout senior shortstop Dee Andre Torres was also named to the 2018 THSBCA 6A All-State Second Team as Shortstop. Torres also earlier this year was named to the 2018 District 29-6A First Team All-District Baseball Team as Shortstop. Torres signed a letter of intent to play collegiate baseball with the Alvin Community College Dolphins in Alvin, Texas.
Both Mendoza and Torres join elite company of state baseball players on the 2018 THSBCA 6A All-State Team.
