Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Tribal Administrator Jennie Hernandez Resigns

Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas (KTTT) Tribal Administrator Jennie Hernandez resigned her position effective June 15, 2018, according to a Memo written to all KTTT Employees by Gabriela Garza, Assistant Tribal Administrator, and Travis J. Hedrick, Senior Human Resources Director.
According to the Memo, dated June 15, 2018, it states that “Ms. Jennie Hernandez has submitted her resignation as Tribal Administrator, effective June 15, 2018. Ms. Hernandez has spent over a year and a half in the role as Tribal Administrator, providing leadership and change for the Tribe. We wish Ms. Hernandez every success in her new endeavors.”
KTTT employees reported seeing Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers and Texas Rangers at the Tribal Administration headquarters on Friday, June 15, 2018, for unknown reasons.
The KTTT Tribal Council is out of town since Friday, June 15th, and were not available for comments regarding the sudden resignation of Jennie Hernandez as KTTT Tribal Administrator. The KTTT has not issued a formal press release regarding the surprise resignation of Jennie Hernandez, except the June 15th letter to KTTT employees notifying them of Jennie Hernandez’s resignation effective June 15, 2018.
