Play Ball! 2018 Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old World Series Opens in Eagle Pass, Texas

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas is hosting the 2018 Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old World Series during August 9-16, 2018 at Moncada Baseball Park in Eagle Pass, announced Morris Libson, President of Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball.
A total of 10 teams will compete for the coveted 2018 Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old World Series Championship for the next seven days (August 9-16) at historic Moncada Baseball Park in Eagle Pass, including the Southwest Regional Champion from Phenix City, Alabama, the Southeast Regional Champion from Tallahassee, Florida, the New England Regional Champion from Norwalk, Connecticut, the Ohio Valley Regional Champion from Hammond, Indiana, the Midwest Plains Regional Champion from West Fargo, North Dakota, the Pacific Northwest Regional Champion from Vancouver, Washington, the Pacific Southwest Regional Champion from Kaunakakai, Hawaii, the Middle Atlantic-Atlantic Shore Regional Champion from Somers Point, New Jersey, the East Texas Regional Champion from Nederland, Texas, and the local host team from Eagle Pass, Texas.
The 10 teams and their players, managers, coaches, and fans were treated to a Dog Days of Summer Block Party and Car Show on Tuesday, August 7th, by the City of Eagle Pass in downtown Main Street filled with live music, entertainment, and a Texas Car Show featuring antique and classic muscle cars.
On Wednesday, August 8th, the teams’ managers and coaches were treated to a Welcome Breakfast by IBC Bank-Eagle Pass followed by the Diamond Kinetics Skill Competition at 10 A.M. at Moncada Baseball Park to determine the individual skills champion players and capped with a Banquet of Champions sponsored by the City of Eagle Pass at 8 P.M. at the International Center for Trade.
On Thursday, August 9th, the City of Eagle Pass will host a car parade for the 10 teams at 9:30 A.M. starting at IBC Bank-Eagle Pass and traveling to downtown Eagle Pass towards Moncada Baseball Park in Fort Duncan for the opening ceremonies at 11 A.M.
The 2018 World Series opens play on Thursday, August 9th, with the first game at 12 Noon in Moncada Baseball Park between New England (Norwalk, Connecticut) versus Middle Atlantic (Somers Point, New Jersey), the second game is at 2:30 P.M. between Ohio Valley (Hammond, Indiana) and Southwest (Phenix City, Alabama), the third game is at 5:30 P.M. between East Texas (Nederland, Texas) and Southeast (Tallahassee, Florida), and the fourth game at 8:00 P.M. between the local host Eagle Pass, Texas team versus Midwest Plains (West Fargo, North Dakota). Four games will be played daily at Moncada Baseball Park from August 9th through August 13th, two games on August 14th and August 15th, and the World Series Championship game on August 16th at 6 P.M. All games will be played at Moncada Baseball Park.

Tickets cost $50 for a Family Tournament Pass for 2 Adults with 2 or more children, $20 for an Adult Tournament Pass for persons 18 or older. Single game tickets are $6 for an Adult All-Day Pass and $3 for a Child All-Day Pass (ages 7-17), and children 6 or younger are free. A Child Tournament Pass for children 7-17 year old are $10 while children 6 or younger are free.
All Eagle Pass and surrounding Southwest Texas baseball aficionados are highly encouraged to come on out and support the 2018 Babe Ruth Baseball 14 Year Old World Series at Moncada Baseball Park in Eagle Pass during August 9th-16th.
