EPPD Detective Corporal Hector M. Blanco Promoted to Lieutenant
(Press Release) On Wednesday December 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM, Chief of Police Alberto Guajardo and the Eagle Pass Police Department held a promotion ceremony in the city council chambers.
Detective Corporal Hector M. Blanco was officially promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and will now oversee the Criminal Investigations Division of the police department.
The event was attended by Lieutenant Blanco’s family to include daughters Selina and Sarah as well as granddaughter Kayleen. In attendance was also Lieutenant Blanco’s brother, retired Eagle Pass Police Department Lieutenant Luis Blanco and his wife Gloria. Numerous city directors, staff and members of the Eagle Pass Police Department as well as fellow officers and agents from local, state and federal agencies were in attendance. City Councilman Luis Sifuentes, Municipal Court Judge Francisco Martinez Ill as well as District Attorney Roberto Serna and Chief Adult Probation Officer Arturo Guajardo III also attended the ceremony.
Lieutenant Hector Blanco brings close to 30 years of experience as a law enforcement officer with a vast amount of experience in criminal investigations. The Eagle Pass Police Department is honored and proud to have an officer of this quality and experience in a leadership role.
