Microtel Suites Hotel to be constructed in Eagle Pass

City of Eagle Pass Interim Planning Department Director Danny Tijerina announced that a new 64 room Microtel Suites Hotel is going to be constructed in Eagle Pass on a property located on El Indio Road (FM 1021) inside the City of Eagle Pass limits with an estimated 8 to 9 million dollar investment.

In addition to the Microtel hotel, the investment group out of Monclova and Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico plan to develop a shopping plaza with a restaurant on the proposed hotel site.

The new economic development project is a testament to the future growth of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. According to local real estate sources, there are other investment groups looking at Eagle Pass to build other hotels and retail development projects.
