Panaderia Olivares Relocates to New Facility
Eagle Pass’s best kept secret just got out of the bag as Panaderia Olivares, an authentic Mexican bakery, announced its relocation to larger facilities at 1310 Del Rio Boulevard (corner of Del Rio Blvd. and Fifth Street) due to increased demand for its genuine pan de dulce in Eagle Pass.
Owned and operated by Manuel and Estela Olivares for the past 16 years, Panaderia Olivares’ pan de dulce is considered by many as the most delicious and authentic in Eagle Pass and in the area.
The new larger and expanded bakery will enable Panaderia Olivares to meet the increased demand for its pan de dulce throughout the region. The previous bakery location had become too small to satisfy the increased demand by the public.
In addition to serving Eagle Pass, Panaderia Olivares’ pan de dulce is also distributed in the Middle Rio Grande region.
Joining Estela and Manuel Olivares at Panaderia Olivares is their son, Ruben Olivares, who has become quite an accomplished baker himself and entrepreneur. “Ruben has expanded our client territory in the region,” Manuel Olivares said.
“The greatest satisfaction for us is when customers send our pan de dulce to family members and friends out-of-state and overseas,” Estela Olivares said.
“One customer sends our empanadas to his daughter in Colorado while another ships our tornillos and chamucos to her son in Germany,” added Estela Olivares.
“One customer buys our pan de dulce every Wednesday for his co-workers in Del Rio,” Manuel Olivares added.
“Many customers buy our pan de dulce for their parents and grandparents,” Estela Olivares said.
Asked what is their secret, Manuel Olivares stated they still make their pan de dulce the old-fashioned way with original ingredients and lots of love and cariño.
The public is invited to visit Panaderia Olivares’ new bakery located at 1310 Del Rio Boulevard in Eagle Pass. You won’t regret it.
