Michael B. Calderon graduates from University of New Mexico School of Law
Albuquerque, NM – The University of New Mexico School of Law Dean Kevin Washburn announced that Michael Benjamin Calderon of Eagle Pass, Texas graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law with a Juris Doctor in Law degree on Saturday, May 14, 2011.
United States Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan was the commencement speaker at the 2011 University of New Mexico School of Law graduation ceremony. Justice Kagan congratulated the University of New Mexico School of Law Class of 2011 graduates and offered important advice to the new law graduates.
Calderon is the son of Ricardo E. Calderon and Diana Escontrias Calderon of Eagle Pass. He is the grandson of the late Vicente C. Calderon and Laura Zulaica Calderon and the late Francisco Escontrias and Consuelo Villarreal Escontrias, all of Eagle Pass.
Calderon was accompanied by his wife, Melissa E. Calderon, a third-year law student at the University of New Mexico School of Law.
Joining Calderon at graduation were Alexa C. Calderon of Eagle Pass, Miguel Angel Flores of Eagle Pass, Don and Jan Wivchar of Highland Ranch, Colorado, Bob Taylor and Kiley Rubin of Parker, Colorado, Eryka Charley of State College, Pennsylvania, Dr. Mario Montaño of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ricardo and Diana Calderon of Eagle Pass.
After the graduation ceremony, Calderon and family members and friends celebrated at a distinguished restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Calderon is a 2004 graduate of Eagle Pass High School and received a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2008.
