Stripes celebrates second store Grand Opening

On Friday, September 9, 2011 the Stripes Convenience Store family together with the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce celebrated their second grand opening in Eagle Pass with the new opening of their second store located at 2427 Del Rio Boulevard.
Present at the ribbon cutting ceremony were many guests and public dignitaries. Among the guest speakers were Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey Cantu and Maverick County Judge David Saucedo, who both welcomed Sam L. Susser, Chief Executive Officer of the Susser Corporation and thanked Stripes for investing here.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Stripes CEO Sam L. Susser stated that his company is very happy with investing in Eagle Pass and that they look forward to future investments in our community.
Stripes General Manager George Martinez and his hard working staff alongside CEO Sam L. Susser presented the Eagle Pass Boys and Girls Club director Alfonso Mallen with a $1,000 dollar donation. Mallen thanked Susser for the generous donation. Also present were City Manager Daniel Valenzuela and Assitant City Manager Gloria Barrientos and Eagle Pass Chief of Police Tony Castañeda.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests were treated to a vast variety of food and refreshments. Guests were personally served cake by Stripes CEO Sam L. Susser.
