New McDonald’s restaurant opens

The third and newest McDonald’s Restaurant in Eagle Pass located at 2401 Del Rio Blvd. inside the Valley Mart Exxon Gas Station opened on Wednesday, February 15, 2011, at 5 A.M., announced Elena Mendoza Pacheco, franchise owner.

Regular hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 5 A.M. to 11 P.M. while Thursday through Saturday will be from 5 A.M. to 12 Midnight.

The new McDonald’s Restaurant will have a seating capacity for 72 persons and employ 40 local persons to operate it.

Elena Mendoza Pacheco stated she was very happy and excited to open the new McDonald’s Restaurant on the northside of Eagle Pass to service the growing population.

Pacheco looks forward to working with local schools and organizations in the community. She stated the new northside McDonald’s Restaurant will participate in McTeacher’s Day in the future.

A private pre-opening reception was held on Monday, February 13, 2012, with Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey English Cantu, Maverick County Sheriff Tomas S. Herrera, Valley Mart Exxon Mobil owner Royce Groff, Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce members, Frank and Martha Mendoza, Manuel Pacheco, family and friends attending.
