Bemporad and Lane selected as new U.S. Magistrate Judges

United States District Court for the Western District of Texas Chief Judge Fred Biery announced that United States Chief Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Texas Henry J. Bemporad and Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas Mark Lane were selected to become United States Magistrate Judge in San Antonio and Austin respectively.

Bemporad will become a United States Magistrate Judge in San Antonio while Lane will be a United States Magistrate Judge in Austin. “Both gentlemen have served the people of the Western District of Texas as lawyers for many years.

The Magistrate Selection Committees and the Article III judges have great confidence they will continue that service as judicial officers,” Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said.
