Guedea and Escamilla promoted to Lieutenants in Eagle Pass Police Department

Eagle Pass Police Department Police Chief, Juan Antonio Castañeda, introduced the two newly promoted Lieutenants within the Eagle Pass Police Department to the Eagle Pass City Council at their Tuesday, June 5, 2012 regular City Council meeting.
Introduced as the two new Lieutenants are Alejandro Guedea, a 35 year veteran of the Eagle Pass Police Department, and Aldo Escamilla, a 15 year veteran of the Eagle Pass Police Department.
Guedea was promoted Lieutenant of the Communications and Administration Division while Escamilla was promoted to Lieutenant of the Criminal Detectives Division. Guedea was serving as interim director of the Communications and Administration Division prior to his promotion. Likewise, Escamilla was serving as interim director of the Detectives Division prior to his promotion.
Police Chief Castañeda stated the promotion to Lieutenant had been very competitive with 5 candidates applying for the two positions, but in the end the two best qualified candidates were Guedea and Escamilla. Castañeda thanked all the candidates for their interest to protect and serve the citizens of Eagle Pass and congratulated the new Lieutenants, Guedea and Escamilla.
The City Council welcomed and congratulated Guedea and Escamilla on their promotions to Lieutenant.
