Eagle Passan to compete in 5K Obstacle Race

Eagle Passan Mario ‘Eagle’ Jimenez is set to compete in the world-famous “Run for Your Lives 5K Obstacle Course” on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Rusty’s Walnut Creek Ranch, in Cedar Creek, Texas. According to the race literature, the “Run for Your Lives 5K Obstacle Course” is promised to be a zombie infested 5K obstacle race with the scariest and ugliest zombies in Texas.
To prepare for the race, Jimenez recently participated in the City of Eagle Pass Jingle Bell 5K Run held on Saturday, December 8, 2012
, finishing in second place in his age group with a time of 29:43 minutes. Jimenez also runs and trains three to four days a week to get himself into competition shape.
Jimenez enjoys participating in 5K runs to maintain his physical fitness and strength. He has also run in the City of Eagle Pass Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run on March 12, 2012, finishing in fourth place in his age group with a time of 28:20, the City of Eagle Pass Fourth of July Summer Sizzler 5K Run with a personal best time of 23:18 garnering third place in his age group, and the City of Eagle Pass Jingle Bell 5K Run on December 10, 2011, with a time of 29:34 finishing in second place in his age category.
Jimenez is competing in an out of town race for the first time this Saturday, December 15th. He dedicates this upcoming race to his family, the City of Eagle Pass, friends, and to all Eagle Pass Eagles. “I look forward to representing the City of Eagle Pass this Saturday and hopefully do well and have fun,” said Jimenez.
