Maverick County Sheriff’s Department seizes 192 pounds of Marijuana
On December 27th 2012, at approximately 12:27 a.m., the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office responded to Loma Bonita Subdivision in reference to a suspicious parked vehicle by Potro Park. Inside the vehicle two military type duffle bags were seen which are commonly used to smuggle marijuana in the back seat.
A K-9 was requested and alerted to the presence of marijuana inside a black 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The vehicle was impounded and the narcotics transported to the Sheriff’s Office which weighed in at 192 pounds.
Case is under investigation and no suspects were arrested.
