SRSU-RGC Small Business Development Center offers small business advisory services

The Sul Ross State University-Rio Grande College Small Business Development Center located at4003 Highway and Bob Rogers Drive on the SRSU-Rio Grande College campus in Eagle Pass helps local entrepreneurs and businesses to start, grow, and prosper by providing guidance, knowledge, and entrepreneurial tools for success, said Elizabeth Pena, Director & CBA IV.
The SRSU-RGC Small Business Development Center offers free business advisory services for new businesses and entrepreneurs such as venture planning, business startup planning, writing a business plan, writing a loan proposal, filling out permits and licenses, financial analysis, finding business capital, marketing strategies, and record keeping, said Pena.
The Small Business Development Center also offers free business advisory services to existing businesses such as capital formation, Small Business Administration financing or loans, financial analysis, accounting records, expanding a business, restructuring a debt, hiring and employment practices, production costs, purchasing, inventory control, tax planning, marketing, manufacturing, export and import, government procurement, and international trade, said Maricela Brown, Business Training Specialist.
The Small Business Development Center offers more than 40 specialized business training workshops and discussion seminars annually at the SRSU-RGC campus in Eagle Pass, Del Rio, Uvalde, and Carrizo Springs, said Cynthia Gomez, Senior Business Development Specialist.
In addition to one-on-one business counseling, the Small Business Development Center offers many free online courses and webinars to entrepreneurs and small businesses in the community, including advertising, marketing, business plans, assessing financial needs, valuing a business, profitability, business legal structure, and much more, said Luiza Garza, Business Development Specialist.
The Small Business Development Center is open from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment, please call the Eagle Pass office at (830) 758/5022, the Del Rio office at (830) 703-4811, the Uvalde office at (830) 279-3018, and the Carrizo Springs office at (830) 876-1301. The SBDC is open to everyone.
