Cesar de la Garza named Interim Jail Administrator

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber announced the appointment of Maverick County Sheriff Department Lieutenant Cesar de la Garza as Interim Jail Administrator of the Maverick County Tom Bowles Dentention Center on Monday, January 14, 2013, following the sudden resignation of previous Jail Administrator Rodolfo ‘Rudy’ Muniz on January 10th.

De la Garza was working as Muniz’s assistant at the time of his resignation. Sheriff Schmerber stated he has full confidence in De la Garza overseeing the Maverick County Tom Bowles Detention Center and wishes him all the best in his new post as Interim Jail Administrator.

De la Garza thanked Sheriff Schmerber for his confidence and appointment as Interim Jail Administrator and stated he looks forward to serving the citizens of Maverick County and Sheriff Schmerber.
