City Council to review City Manager applications today and may select new City Manager

The City of Eagle Pass City Council will review applications for the vacant City Manager position and may take possible action regarding the hiring of a new City Manager today, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at its scheduled Regular Meeting at 5:30 p.m. at City Council Chambers in the City Hall Building located at 100 South Monroe Street in Eagle Pass. The City Council meeting is open to the public.
Other items on the City Council agenda include a presentation to retired City of Eagle Pass employee, Angel Seca, consideration and possible approval of a resolution calling for the City Officers General Election for Mayor, City Council Place 1, and City Council Place 2 to be held on Saturday, May11, 2013, the consideration and possible approval of an agreement with GEO Corrections regarding the inspection and certification of their property in relation to fire regulations, consideration and possible approval of a license agreement with the United States General Services Administration for the construction, operation and maintenance of security enhancements and structures, consideration and possible approval of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the County of Maverick for use of the City’s Planning and Building Department Services within the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, consideration and possible approval of the preliminary plat of Rio Grande Estates Subdivision, Unit 1, and consultation with legal counsel regarding an offer for the donation to the City of Eagle Pass of a portion of the property located at 364 Main Street and possible action thereof.
Eagle Pass citizens and taxpayers are encouraged to attend today’s City Council meeting.
