City Council will have three positions up for election in 2013

The City of Eagle Pass City Council will have three positions up for election at the May 11, 2013, municipal election, including the Mayor position currently held by Ramsey English Cantu, City Council Place 1 currently held by Rudy Villalpando, and City Council Place 4 currently held by Luis Sifuentes.

The candidate registration period for these three City Council positions opens on January 30, 2013 and runs through March 1, 2013. Any Eagle Pass citizen who is 18 years old, a resident of the City of Eagle Pass, of sound mind, and does not have any
criminal record or convictions may register to run for any of these three positions with City of Eagle Pass City
Secretary Mary Velasquez at 100 South Monroe Street, in Eagle Pass or at (830) 773-1111.

2013 will have many important issues and projects within the community that will require City Council approval and leadership.
