A construction worker at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel construction site located at the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Reservation on Lucky Eagle Drive in southern Maverick County, Texas fell and sustained non-life threatening injuries on Monday, January 28, 2013 at around 9:15am, and was transported to a local medical facility, announced the Skansa Public Relations Director.
Both the general contractor, Skansa, and the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas have been reluctant to provide the details of the accident and the identity, age, time of accident, and how the accident occurred to the press except confirmation that a male worker had sustained an accident at the construction site of the expansion of the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel on January 28th.
Skansa is the general contractor of a multi-million dollar construction project estimated at $48 million or more to construct a new seven story 250 beds hotel and expansion of the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino, the only legalized gambling casino in the State of Texas under the National Indian Gaming Commission, a federal agency.
