City Councilman Rudy Villalpando files for Re-election

Eagle Pass City Councilman for Place 1, Rudy Villalpando, filed for re-election with the City of Eagle Pass City Secretary, Mary Velasquez, on Friday, February 1, 2013, for the upcoming May 11th City Council elections. Councilman Villalpando expressed his genuine interest in serving the citizens of Eagle Pass, completing current ongoing city projects, and providing leadership for new programs to be launched by the City of Eagle Pass in the near future as grounds for seeking re-election to a new four-year term.
Councilman Villalpando is a native of Eagle Pass and was raised in the community by his outstanding parents, Rodolfo and Mela Villalpando of Eagle Pass. Councilman Villalpando is married to Elsa Maldonado Villalpando of Eagle Pass and they own two children’s preschool learning centers in Eagle Pass. Councilman Villalpando is an administrator at a local public high school of the Eagle Pass Independent School District.
As an experienced educator and businessman, Councilman Villalpando offers proven leadership and vision for the management of the City of Eagle Pass programs and policies as well as a strong advocate for the youth, senior citizens, veterans, education, and small and large businesses.
Councilman Villalpando thanked the many citizens of Eagle Pass who have supported him and requested him to run for re-election to continue a fair and balanced growth of the city and respect for all taxpayers.
